Best coals I've used. They light quickly (about six minutes) on a coil burner and last over an hour and a half. They burn clean with almost no scent at all, and the cubed ash is absolutely fantastic which keeps it out of your shisha.

This coal is very hard to light. It can not be lite with a regular lighter, or even a stove. I have been using my hand held propane torch. Once the coal is blasted with flame it gets going real nice. These coals burn evenly and last a little longer then the quick start coals. While in use rotate the cube to use all heated sides.

I toyed with the idea of starting my hookah experiences only with an electric coal setup knowing that ANY charcoal will have me breathing CO. Regardless, I settled on needing charcoal for ease of use, portability, et al. I purchased a micro torch that uses replaceable cigarette lighters as the fuel source. Cheap, it fits in your hand and is portable. Holding these coals in tongs and lighting them with this micro torch can take a few minutes - but once these coals get started, they burn COMPLETELY. Nothing but clean, white ash afterwards. 100% CUBE SHAPED ash - meaning you're not getting ash in your shisha. Zero taste, zero odor and all natural without hydrocarbons or chemicals. BIG FAN!

These are pretty much exactly what I was looking for in a coal. Clean smoke and no odor (except when you light them). Usually, I'm smoking with 1-2 people. These coals can be set aside if you wanted to take a break and return in an hour to re-light the bowl. So far, its been 1 hour in and it's smoking great.
