This charcoal is a pressed composite natural coal made in China. They are pressed into approximately one inch cubes with a break line in the middle, which makes them easy to break into 1/2 inch thick coals. They burn hotter and for a longer period of time compared to others styles of coals. They don’t use additives, so they burn clean without sparks or an added starting agent flavor. The box comes with 27 cubes or approximately one pound of coals.
